The colour is B grade as it received 12.5mm of rain whilst in windrows prior to baling. Packaged in big square, 6-string bales 8x4x3ft averaging 530kg (baler weights). Stored in a new 3-sided shed with insulated roof, guttering and compacted gravel floor. Moisture average 12% (9% to 17%). Very clean crop with less than 1% weeds (rye grass). GreatHAY’s famous Lucerne hay but in big square 8x4x3ft bales. It didn’t make the grade for our small bales as it was more mature than we like for our prime hay (ya get that with 1st cut). Perfect hay for paddock feeding horses, dairies, feedlots, stud cattle or other livestock requiring high quality bulk fodder. The colour is A grade, has good aroma and plenty of leaf. Stems are mostly 3-4mm in diameter and have some black spots due to weather prior to cutting. Packaged in big square, 6-string bales 8x4x3ft averaging 597kg (baler weights). GreatHAY’s Meadow Hay made from fescue, rye grass and clover pastures, specifically groan for premium equine hay. Perfect hay for horses or other livestock requiring lower sugar hay or a higher fibre diet. It's very leafy with great colour, though some small parts of the bale show rain damage impacting colour. This hay was originally baled into small bales however received 12.5mm of rain on the bales in the paddock, so we cut the strings, dried it and rebaled in big squares. Packaged in big square, 6-string bales 8x4x3ft averaging 450kg (baler weights). Stored in paddock. Moisture average 11.6%. May be some very small wetter patches in bales but baled well.
